Frequently asked questions

Is this vocal remover really free?

Yes. Separation runs on your own hardware in the browser, so there is no per-song server cost. All current tools are free.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The separation runs locally in your browser. Your audio never leaves your device.

Why is there a one-time model download?

The AI model (~180 MB) is fetched once so it can run on your machine. Your browser caches it, so later visits skip the download.

What audio formats are supported?

MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG and FLAC, plus the audio track of common video files (MP4, MOV, WEBM). Output is available as 16-bit WAV or MP3.

How good is the separation quality?

Quality depends on the mix. Dense, loud masters are harder than sparse mixes. You can preview both stems before downloading.

Why is my song too long to process?

Long files need a lot of memory on your device. The tool asks you to pick a section first — you can run several sections one after another.

Does it work on phones?

Modern mobile browsers can run it for short clips. For full songs, a desktop browser with hardware acceleration gives the smoothest experience.
